He is most frequently depicted as a bearded man wearing the double crown of Upper and Lower Egypt, signifying his universal rule. The most distinctive feature, however, is the headdress: a tall, curved crown adorned with two tall feathers, usually ostrich or falcon, often with a sun disk encircled by a uraeus (cobra) resting between them. The Aten Revolution and Return
